Finding a support group for the pregnancy and parenting process is easier than you think. There are groups all over the country and one site I have found allows you to search in your specific state for groups near you. That site is called FamilyEquality.org. Another great resource site is ProudParenting.com.
LGBT Family Blogging is a great resource for you and your family. One of the most popular is Mombian.com, which bills itself as “Sustenance for Lesbian Moms. You can also read about being fathers in a mother’s world at gayswithkids.com.
For general pregnancy information, two great sites to check out is WhatToExpect.com and Baby.com. They both have a pregnancy week chart that tells you the development of your fetus throughout the pregnancy and describe what you should be experiencing as a mother.
However, your greatest resource may be you. Keep your eyes open. There are more of us out there than you may think. If you have information about a support group you would like to share, please email me today.
